#HotBoysForBernie: negli USA il socialismo riparte dai selfie dei manzi

In amore e campagna elettorale tutto è concesso; lo sanno bene i sostenitori di Bernie Sanders che, in occasione delle primarie presidenziali negli Stati Utini, hanno deciso di giocare “sporco”. No, non stiamo alludendo a nessun broglio elettorale, ma facciamo riferimento alle numerose foto di ragazzi che stanno esibendo i propri muscoli e che stanno ammiccando nei selfie usando il surreale hashtag #HotBoysForBernie.

L’hashtag nasce dopo che un utente ha affermato su Twitter che tutti gli elettori dell’unico membro del Congresso ad autodefinirsi espressamente «socialista» sono sexy, lanciando una challange con un hashtag rivolto alle ragazze, #HotGirlsForBernie. Presto anche gli uomini hanno deciso di contribuire alla causa a colpi di testosterone, riempiendo i social di pettorali, addominali e thirst traps.

I favoriti alla vittoria, oltre al senatore del Vermont, sono Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren e il candidato dichiaratamente gay Pete Buttigieg. Per scoprire se cotanta vanità abbia aiutato Bernie Sanders occorrerà aspettare i risultati ufficiali dei caucus democratici dello Iowa, che stanno tardando ad arrivare per via di alcuni problemi tecnici: non sarà mica che gli scrutatori si siano distratti con tutte queste foto?
